Störf okkar krefjast þess að við tökum flóknar ákvarðanir. Þær eru flóknar þar sem við þurfum annað hvort að taka þær í félagi við annað fólk eða þá að þær hafa bein áhrif á annað fólk. Verkefni okkar allra er að skapa umhverfi sem krefst ekki ofurmannlegra dygða, krefst ekki óraunhæfs samráðs eða fær okkur til að vera eilíflega háð formlegum reglum þegar slíkar ákvarðanir eru teknar. Saman þurfum við að skapa rými sem dregur fram þær frumforsendur sem felast í eðli ólíkra hlutverka okkar og ekki síður þeirra stofnana sem hvert okkar starfar hjá. En fyrst og fremst þarf þetta rými að gefa okkur tækifæri til að skilja þetta eðli hlutverkanna og raungera það.
Our vocations oblige us to make complex decisions. The complexity of these decisions stems from the fact that they either affect others or are made in a conversation with others. Our collective project is to create an environment where the decision-making process does not require super-human virtues, a faux consultation or a stringent reliance on formal rules. Together we need to open a sphere which enhances the principles behind the purpose of different roles and the institutions that host these roles. To achieve this, this sphere needs to offer us the opportunity to understand this purpose and to realise it.
